Carmen joined the team in 2016 as our first dedicated office administrator, bringing with her a bookkeeping certificate and BA in English Language and Literature. As HESL’s administrator, she is responsible for all office procedures and uses her organizational skills to ensure smooth operations.
Carmen not only assists in the development and implementation of firm policies and procedures, but she also manages and oversees the administration of benefits and payroll. She maintains all bookkeeping activities and reporting, including accounts payable, receivable, and monthly billing. She is also responsible for company travel logistics and event planning.
Although she completes most of her work at a desk, she welcomes any opportunity to travel to job sites as a field assistant, which provides her with a more holistic understanding of the company.
When she’s not at work, you can find Carmen playing music, exploring the forest, and sharing her love of Muskoka with her young family.
